Fight at Interlachen High School Results in Multiple Arrests

Interlachen - On February 16, 2010, eight Hawthorne High School students and two Interlachen High School Students were arrested as the result of an altercation at Interlachen High School. Seven of the students were juveniles and three were eighteen years-old. The Hawthorne High School students were arrest for trespassing on school grounds and disorderly conduct, and the two Interlachen High School students were arrested for disorderly conduct.

The altercation appears to stem from a physical altercation that took place this past weekend in Hawthorne. Family members of a mentally challenged individual, who had been beaten up very badly by several people, were at the school very upset. According to the family members, several of the boys who were responsible for harming this individual were Interlachen High School students.  

The ten students were transported and booked into the Putnam County Jail. After booking was completed, the seven juveniles were released to their parents.
