Man Found Stabbed to Death in Crescent City

 The Putnam County Sheriff's Office, along with the Crescent City Police Department, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Crime Scene Unit, and the 7th Judicial Circuit Homicide Investigative Task Force, is currently working a domestic violence related homicide at 517 North Main Street in Crescent City.
 The investigation began at approximately 12:45 am this morning (3/7/2008), when Sheriff's Office Communication's Officers received a 911 call from a cell phone. The caller, who did not identify herself, advised that she had just been assaulted and was extremely distraught.
Using the telephone number captured by the 911 system, the Communication's Officers were able to identify the last known address of the caller, who is not being identified due to the possible abuse. A deputy was then dispatched to the 517 North Main Street address, and upon his arrival discovered a 29 year old male lying in the front yard, deceased. He apparently had been stabbed to death. The caller was then located at a local hospital.
Members of the above listed agencies continue the investigation at this time.

UPDATE:

 Sheriff's Office Detectives arrested 32 year old Shalandrea Scurry-Foster for the murder of her significant other, 29 year old Carlton Duane King III. The arrest came following the investigation into the previously described incident. Ms. Scurry-Foster has been charged with Second Degree murder, following the stabbing death of Mr. King. The arrest came after the interview of Ms. Scurry-Foster and of several witnesses.
