West Putnam 911 Phone Lines Cut at State Road 20

As of 11pm 3/24 the line has been repaired and is now operating normally.

 Construction on the widening of State Road 20 in the west end of Putnam County has resulted in two telephone trunk lines being cut. These cuts affect those persons living in Putnam County with exchanges 684, 659, and 661. Those persons can not call out of the area, nor will their 911 calls be received at the Putnam County Sheriff's Office Cooperative Communication Center. 911 calls have been routed to the Interlachen Town Hall and the Florahome Fire Department, where Sheriff Dean Kelly has placed communications officers who are responsible for aiding those affected by these phone service interruptions. The cuts occurred shortly before 3:00 pm. It is not known when service will be restored.
